Writing: Goal: To use more similes and metaphors in all my writing. I will know this when:I have comments in my book about me using them in writing. Reading: Goal: to work on getting to the Year 7 then Year 8 standard in Inferencing. I will know this when: I have achieved both of the standards. I will do this by:the reciprocal reading activities in class, Help I will need at home:read every night for at least 20 minutes every night.
Mathematics: Goal: to get better at writing a timetable. I will know this when:I get a full mark on writing a timetable. I will do this by: practicing them in my spare time. Help I will need at home: finding some websites to help me.
Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L): Goal:to show more excellence around the school with rubbish and the environment. I will know this when: I have got at least a few AIM High cards for Respecting the environment. I will do this by: helping out more often at home with jobs around the house.

My Perfect Day Saturday
7:00am
I awake to pancakes cooking in the kitchen.
7:15am
Finished my breakfast and Mum and I have planned to do a day's shopping at West-Field Mall in Manukau.
8:55am
Mum and I arrive at the mall and we instantly begin to search for bargains!!
9:40am
We finish shopping and arrive home with a surprise from Dad! A new pool planted into the ground with blue surrounding the outside.
10:15am
All the family is in the pool and we are playing Marco Polo. It's so much fun!
11:45am
Finished in the pool and all dried off from our big swim. Mum and Dad are now preparing lunch and Georgie is setting the table.
12:00pm
Yum, yum lunch time and we are all enjoying our delicious sandwiches Dad had prepared earlier.

We are heading off to the park and I am riding my bike along side my Mum and sister Georgie.

Finally at the park and our bikes are locked up to the poles.

Finished at the park and back at home watching TV,when I hear a knock on the door.That will be Kelvin picking me up to go to his house!!

I am at Kelvin's house playing with his pet dog Duke!

We have decided to go Ten-Pin Bowling before they shut.So off we went to TimeZone.

At TimeZone we begin our round in Ten-Pin Bowling.It's so much fun.

We finished our last round as they were closing for the day!Yay I win!

All of us just finished watching the movie we rented out for the night!

Just watching TV with Sarah(Kelvin's partner) and Kelvin.

Yay!!! Popcorn has popped and we dig into the hot, sticky bag of popcorn

Finished watching the program that was on TV and now I am ready for bed!

(Yawn) I am lying in bed looking at the ceiling and listening to Sarah's dog snore loudly. This day was so perfect I had so much fun!!!

The best thing about last year was the science fair and seminars, as I learnt a lot about how to present my work properly and make my work more meaning full to my learning. (Red Hat).
The most I improved on last year was Math and Spelling. Both my parents and I saw my spelling age increase and my math ability rise. (Blue Hat).
I placed 52 in the school cross country.
My last two basic facts scores are:85,100.
My essential spelling score is:99.
My last two spelling ages are:11.2,14.7.
I am writing at level:4.
Science fair 75/100.
Miss Kimi
Welcome to Room 13 Miss Kimi. We all wish the best for our class this year and you will for sure make this happen.
We all love how you are strict, but still make learning fun! You have made a great impression on Room 13 all ready, image our class a few months done the track.
Sadly Room 13 lost Miss Smyth as a teacher and we all will miss her dearly. Luckily our school has still keep Miss Smyth on, as she is a lovely young lady and full of life. Her talent has left us stunned and we will never forget the fun she taught us. Golden Time was always a wonderful treat at least once a week. Zink was also a bright highlight for us students and not to mention for our class bankers! Also with the Zink, there was a “ Zink Market Day” created as an opportunity to experience the big wide world of money, but in our version it was Zink. Thanks to Miss Smyth for creating this for us.
Room 13 has had a great reliever experience will Miss Kimi. As a class we all learnt Sign Language while Miss Kimi was in here for a week. That week also happened to be New Zealand Sign Language Week nationwide.
Miss Kimi knows a lot about other cultures and has shared with us her great knowledge of the world. Further Miss Kimi knows bucket fills of different languages.
Thanks so much to Miss Smyth for building up Room 13 and thanks to Miss Kimi who is going to continue our class.
